Doctrinally Bilingual

Sharing Options

I have come to a conclusion. I have been in the midst of doctrinal fraci (what’s the plural of fracus?) because I am bilingual. I speak both TR and FV. When I talk with others who are bilingual, we get along famously, and I feel like peace is going to break out across the Reformed world any minute now. There are TRs who are bilingual, and there are FVs who are bilingual, and God bless ’em all. Group hug! But there are, alas, members of each party who speak their own provincial dialect, and that is it, and you had better pronounce shibboleth right, darn it. The TRs who are like this can hear Calvin quoted and think its the pope on a bad day. And FVs who are like this forget that it was dispensational baptists who kept the Christian faith alive in our nation over the course of the last century.
