While not repentance, it is certainly striking to see that when you destroy the foundation, don’t be surprised when the house falls down. The ERA. Oh good grief. Opening rant was pretty typical.
Ha! Good ERA debate. I especially liked, “this culture is going to do what it’s aways done, practice common sense.”
Uh yeah, not so much.
I like how his example of “common sense” was not having men and women in the same restroom. :-/

Doug, you rube… he CLEARLY STATED that there’s not some judge that wants his mother tinkling in the bathroom next to some guy.
Indeed, as he stated, our society has done what it always does and exercised common sense, contrary to your far-right slippery-slope fear-mongering!
I thought of jonathan reading this. Don’t agree with everything and he misses some issues (like whether rich is relative to culture), but makes some interesting points.

That article steered a little to far into tempting demonization of the rich. It made clear that it’s the wealth that causes the problems, not innate poor character, but piled it on so quick and furious that I’d worry about the thoughts of someone coming out of it.
Still, I’m going to spend a lot of time following the links they provided.

Second note now that I’ve gone through all the links (and often links of links)…it’s interesting how so many of this research is by people who are certainly well-off themselves, probably living in a community of mostly well-off people, likely at a university funded by well-off people. So there are a lot of subconscious incentives not to do this kind of research at all, perhaps even to fudge the results if you do do it. Or maybe conscious.
