I didn’t have a chance to post anything today because Nancy and I were en route to the Auburn Avenue Pastors’ Conference. Tonight we heard D.G Hart on the spirituality of the Church, and Rich Lusk on the cultural identity of the Church. Lots of good stuff. And the singing here, as usual, is fantastic.
Had a lot of good reading time on the plane, and was able to get through D.G. Hart’s book That Old Time Religion and Modern America — a history of evangelicalism throughout the course of the twentieth century. Very informative. I had read his Deconstructing Evangelicalism a year or so ago, and this was equally helpful and informative.
