What’s the Story?

Nate has a guest post over at Desiring God, which can be found here. The takeaway quote is here — “Kids (and adults) don’t just need the truth in their heads — they need it in their bones.” And the delivery platform for getting the truth into the bones is story.

Fussers want all the truth that they are willing to own to stay on the page in front of them. But good stories won’t stay on the page. They sprawl. They spill into all of life’s corners.

Christian stories get the truth into the bones. Pomo-artsy-fartsy stories take the bones out, which has another result entirely, one much less edifying.
