I may be completely dense (signs point to yes), but I don’t get the message of this comic at all. Would love an explanation.

“There may be other ways to look at it…” Hee, HA! A good example of the state of The Church if we don’t all agree what a simple verse, I mean, a cartoon means. “but they would be wrong ways to look at it” and yet we all think we are right :) I was thinking the wife was giving the hubby the what-for for all of his junk and unfinished projects…and he was excusing it by saying he only had one life to live and should have fun…and the cat-wife (or is that supposed to be a very ugly… Read more »

My attempt: You only go around once, and what has this hapless fellow done with his singular shot? Look at the room, what’s it filled with – everything, junk, old head-gasgets, a bedraggled dog, a beat-up boat, an old shot engine. I guess if you have to explain it, it isn’t funny, but I got a chuckle out of this. He’s 90% of the way around his turn and all he has….is the accoutrements of a junk yard. Black humor? Yes!
