My attempt: You only go around once, and what has this hapless fellow done with his singular shot? Look at the room, what’s it filled with – everything, junk, old head-gasgets, a bedraggled dog, a beat-up boat, an old shot engine. I guess if you have to explain it, it isn’t funny, but I got a chuckle out of this. He’s 90% of the way around his turn and all he has….is the accoutrements of a junk yard. Black humor? Yes!

If you want to see where the artist got the idea for the series that includes this cartoon, go to this article on George Booth, and scroll about three-quarters of the way down. For another in the series, go here.

Never heard of him before. :) ” Your cartoons often depict people, mostly couples, driving one another crazy.”
