Minister: Lift up your hearts!
Congregation: We lift them up to the Lord!
Save me, Oh God, through Your great name,
And judge me through Your strength.
Incline Your ear to hear my prayer,
Give ear to all my suffering words.
For strangers want my soul and life,
The alien warrior rises up.
They do not have Your fear at heart,
They want to see me bleed and die.
But You, Oh God, have been my help,
You are with them who save,
You shall pay back with evil blows
And cut them off in holy truth.
And I will sacrifice to You,
And praise Your name, oh Lord,
For You have now delivered me,
And I have seen Your vengeance fall.

And so, gracious Father, we worship You now through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end, amen.
