Another Word Would Be Eclectic

I have said before, in the course of this argument or that one, that my musical tastes are catholic. But, for any of those who might be interested, I thought I should make that point a bit more concrete.

One of my more frequented playlists in my iTunes library has 537 songs in it. If I put that baby on shuffle, something like this will happen.

Low Down Dirty Mean by the Allman Brothers
Bright Lights Big City by Sonny James
Mama, He’s Crazy by the Judds
Nothing But the Whole Wide World by Jakob Dylan
Walking in Memphis by Marc Cohn
Lodi by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Days Go By by Keith Urban
Lady Madonna by The Beatles
Crazy Face by Van Morrison
Days Like This by Van Morrison

Other playlists, you may be comforted to know, have tonier music on them — “Fassung IV: 35. Aria/Takt 1-16” fer instance. So lay off.
