The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions
The Valley of Vision: A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions by Arthur Bennett
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Good. First read it in 2002. Listened to an audio version of it narrated by Max McLean in 2015. That was good too. McLean’s reading is good, although it sometimes borders on creepy. The Puritans represented are really solid. Their prayers sometimes veered into the predictably puritanical introspection, but there were many glorious stretches where they were doing nothing of the kind. There were many edifying phrases.

VoV is a solid 4 of 5 in my book, but then again no one reads my reviews.

A decent work with iffy narration will indeed take it down a notch.
Now about your own books — how helpful it would be to have you yourself read.
It’s a shame the narrations you’ve had done can’t live up to the real DW experience.
To be able to hear you speak to us in Reforming Marriage, et al — what a treat! — and a lasting legacy.
Seems like CanonWired has the equipment.
But I know you don’t think you have the time…, alas.

Creepy! I laughed out loud at this! Couldn’t agree more. Thanks for your book reviews, I eat them right up.
